In 2024, the community transitioned from sponsorship to self-sufficiency. Because of the dedication and partnership of sponsors like you, local people and organizations have been equipped to continue leading the community’s development – and that is something to celebrate!

Context
The Kimbanseke (Kim-ban-say-kay) community is located on the eastern outskirts of Kinshasa, the country's capital. The people of Kimbanseke live in severe poverty characterised by a lack of basic social amenities and infrastructure, such as roads, clean and potable water, electricity, schools, and hospitals.
