With local leaders, we assess the community's needs and resources and plan projects to provide long-term solutions.
PHASE 1: Building the foundation

During this phase, sponsorship and development opportunities begin.

During this phase, we monitor the community’s progress and make adjustments to meet their goals. More community members become involved, lead projects and gain ownership of their success.
PHASE 3: Enhance sustainability
2018
During this phase, children and families enjoy improved living conditions as they prepare to become independent and continue the work you helped start.
World Vision’s global COVID-19 response begins
March 2020
In line with public health recommendations outlined by the World Health Organization, certain program activities are temporarily suspended, affecting procedures like sponsor correspondence, visits and gifts. World Vision works with communities worldwide to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and support families through the crisis.
Routine child sponsorship operations resume
October 2022
World Vision programs return to pre-pandemic norms, as COVID-19 work is integrated into our regular activities.
