Sudan

World Vision’s history in Sudan dates back to 1983 when it was operational for five years before closing in 1988. We resumed operations in Sudan in 2004 in response to the Darfur crisis. As the work has evolved we’ve expanded our programs, with our headquarters in Khartoum. In Sudan, the support of the Government of Canada, along with individual Canadians, allows us to run relief, recovery and development programs that benefit more than 1.5 million people directly and indirectly.

World Vision Sudan

As a child-focused organization, our goal is to see children reach their full potential. We don't just want children to survive, we want them to thrive.

Today, our teams of dedicated development and humanitarian professionals work tirelessly to contribute to the improved well-being of boys and girls through multi-sectoral and community-based programs across four states: South Darfur, Blue Nile, East Darfur and South Kordofan. By 2025, World Vision Sudan will contribute to the well-being of 2.1 million most vulnerable girls and boys in Sudan.

Our programs focus on giving Sudan's children opportunity to receive a quality education, grow up in good health, live well-nourished lives with access to enough food, and enjoy clean water and improved sanitation facilities close to their homes.
